Controller
Mission
The mission of the Controller is to manage LexBlog’s fiscal success, ensuring accurate, timely and complete financial information and to establish financial and operational priorities. As a member of the management and operational team, the Controller will also drive continuous improvements to departmental processes to increase productivity, enhance the customer experience, and reduce costs and risks through operational and technology enhancements.
Financial Outcomes
- Month is closed and accurate financial information is reported by the 10th of the month.
- General Ledger and Sub Ledgers are managed, monitored and reconciled so as to reflect accurately the financial and operational results of the company.
- Financial data and systems are integrated into the Company’s CRM solution.
- Manage the Accounts Receivable and Collection process to keep total Accounts Receivable balance under 45 days of Sales.
- Financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP unless agreed upon; such deviations from GAAP are identified, quantified and reported on.
- Develop annual budgets, multi-year projections and interim forecasts on an annual or as-needed basis.
Operational Outcomes
- Track and review analyses of blog launches, process flow, fixed and variable costs, operations and forecast data to determine the progress of the departments toward stated goals and objectives.
- Identify operational inefficiencies across the organization and drive continuous operational improvements.
- Assess the financial ramifications of strategic initiatives, balancing strategy and business objectives with client experience requirements.
- Develop relationships with bankers, potential investors and strategic partners and recommend appropriate funding sources.
- Develop and publish management and sales metrics on a weekly and monthly basis.

Qualifications
- Accounting Degree required, CPA preferred.
- Requires a minimum of ten years of experience in a financial leadership position.
- Experience managing business to fiscal success through revenue and EBITDA.
- Successful track record of maximizing cash flow by managing metrics such as interest expense, DSO, DPO.
- Experience reviewing accounting processes and implementing best practices for entity scaling to $5M+.
- Experience managing ERP (QuickBooks) and CRM (SalesForce) systems preferable.

Client Support Specialist
The Client Support Specialist delivers 100% client satisfaction to LexBlog clients by providing timely product support by telephone and email.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer phone and email support questions in an easy to understand way, with limited use of technical jargon, including but not limited to:
- Set up Author Accounts as requested by clients or by Project Management team
- Manage and support e-mail notification and RSS systems
- Implement minor design changes to blogs
- Resolve technical issues such as problems adding posts, editing posts, and other miscellaneous client requests
- Provide client support for blogging strategy
- Respond to all client service requests within 24 hours
- Gather and convey customer feedback to web developers and designers to help improve product functionality and usability
- Provide customer-facing documentation, including online FAQ’s, How-to Guides, and Help Videos
- Provide QA/Testing for product upgrades/enhancements as needed
- Provide entry-level backup support for IT team as needed
- Escalate Tier 2 issues as needed to IT/Dev team, while continuing to manage client-facing communications.
The successful candidate will have exceptional written and oral communication skills since they will routinely communicate with LexBlog clients by phone, email, and occasionally in person. Requires strong organization skills and attention to detail and timely follow-through. Proficient computer skills and able to navigate the Internet is a must; specifically experience with blogging platforms (WordPress or Movable Type a plus) and familiarity with CSS and HTML.
The LexBlog team and our clients live on the Internet and rely on the Internet as a practice/business development tool for creating word-of-mouth and relationships. As a result, this position requires strong working understanding of the potential of Internet and social networking.
