Horse Health Blog: University of Guelph
The animal internal medicine specialists at the University of Guelph have debuted their horse health blog, Equid Blog.
The doctors, from the University's Ontario Veterinary College, use Equid Blog to update readers with information and insight on equine infectious diseases.
Blog topics include:
- Diseases
- Topics
Like its companion the Worms & Germs Blog, Equid Blog is authored by Scott Weese (Associate Professor in the Department of Pathobiology at the University of Guelph, and Public Health and Zoonotic Disease microbiologist for the University's Centre for Public Health and Zoonoses) and Maureen Anderson (a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Pathobiology at the University of Guelph). A unique aspect of the equIDblog website is publication of infectious disease rates at the Ontario Veterinary College Teaching Hospital (OVCTH). This type of disclosure is now becoming common in human hospitals.
