A diverse group of Canadian veterinarians and physicians, brought together to blog by the University of Guelph, have recently debuted their zoonotic disease blog, the Works & Germs Blog.The Worms & Germs Blog serves as a resource for pet owners around the globe, offering news and developments on diseases that can potentially be transmitted from pets to their human owners.

Developed as a result of collaboration between doctors, researchers and public health personnel at the Ontario Veterinary College and the City of Hamilton Public Health Department, Worms & Germs incorporates a resource area to help pet owners better understands the potential risks of life with their furry/feathery/slimy friends. The project is spearheaded by Dr. Scott Weese and Dr. Maureen Anderson.
LexBlog is eager to see how these folks use Worms & Germs to their - and the public's - advantage. The realm of zoonotic disease is new territory for us, and we'll be interested to watch as word of this new site spreads across the blogosphere.
