It seems fitting that, for our first journalism blog, we bring in someone with experience in the field who is willing to try new things and test the waters in the ever-changing journalism business. Ross is just that: a lifelong resident of the West Coast (raised in California and currently living in the Puget Sound), he has worked for papers from The Seattle Times (where he wrote for more than 30 years and won a Pulitzer Prize in 1990) to U.S. News and World Report. Currently retired, he still writes a weekly column for the Port Townsend Leader, called "On the Waterfront."
