As soon as the decision came down from the Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit that President Obama’s recess appointments were unconstitutional, people started to wonder what impact it would have on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. After all, Director Richard Cordray was appointed to his position under circumstances identical to those of the NLRB appointees.
