The White House announced earlier this week that President Obama had nominated Thomas Perez as the new Secretary of Labor. As could be expected based on Obama’s other employment law-related nominations, Perez—the current Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice—is certainly labor friendly.
