Well, I just had my phone call with the Tampa Bay Rays Season Ticket Rep, and gave him my Credit Card information, so that the Rays could charge it every month for the next seven months, and pay outlandish salaries to kids just out of high school or college to play a game. The older I get, the more I envy these kids running around throwing, catching and hitting baseballs. There is something pure and simple about the national pastime, and it is worth the money to be able to escape reality for a couple of hours. Except, of course, when the reality hits that the Rays are star-crossed and jinxed. For example, last year the Rays, after a horrible start, won over 90 games. They are, and I am not kidding, the first team in baseball history since the playoffs began, to win 90 games and not make the playoffs. I can’t wait for this year’s shoe to fall. Hey, Stu and friends! I approve of your spending 15 million a year on Nelson Cruz. Please. Oh, well. If I am watching baseball games, I am still alive. So, that’s something. Go Rays.
