Note from the Associate Editor, Melissa Lin

Each week, LexBlog has the privilege of launching and syndicating new blogs to our growing community of legal publishers.

The first comes from the Legal Hackers community, which was born in 2012 out of a nagging question: “how can lawyers leverage the tools and collaborative, open ethos of the technology community to anticipate and solve law and policy problems?” The Legal Hackers responded with a grassroots movement that is volunteer-run and now has 130 chapters globally. We are proud to support the strengthening of this innovative community by giving its oldest chapter its first blog.

Aprodu | Conley‘s namesake authors Alexander Conley and Adela Aprodu together dynamically tackle an array of criminal and civil litigation issues. Conley handles all criminal matters, as well as certain civil litigation cases. Aprodu leverages her educational backgrounds in Health Services, Administration of Justice, and Communications to primarily write on and represent clients in civil litigation and health care matters.

While many lawyers might shy away from the camera, Blake Harris of Mile High Estate Planning complements his writing with Youtube videos that provide succinct information on topics such as when one should create a business succession plan.

Lastly, Hepler Broom has a number of attorneys who each allow their distinct voice to permeate their contributions on the blog. We recommend you read “Bogenberger v Pi Kappa Alpha: A Tragedy Changes the Law” for its compelling reporting on the still prevalent issue of college hazing.

More details on these blogs can be found below. Please join us in welcoming some of the newest publications to our network!
