According to DPS reports, a man died in a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 10 north of Marana Saturday afternoon.

Lawrence Sofaly, 74, of Hondo, Texas, was a passenger in a car that was struck by another car on westbound I-10 Saturday near milepost 230, about 2 miles east of Pinal Airpark Road, according to the Department of Public Safety.  The crash closed westbound I-10 at West Tangerine Road for about eight hours on Saturday.

A vehicle traveling eastbound on I-10 crossed over the median into oncoming traffic and hit the vehicle Sofaly was in and another vehicle. AZ DPS does not know why the vehicle crossed over into the westbound lanes.

Why do these keep occurring?  One reason:  Are more lawsuits the answer?  Nothing else seems to get the attention of our state government.

THE STATE OF ARIZONA HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM AND INSTALL MEDIAN BARRIERS.

Did you know that there have only been two successful cases that went all the way to verdict in Arizona, the first awarding the family $7.8 million and the second awarding the families $47.3 million?  Did you know that the same attorney was the one to obtain BOTH of these verdicts for his clients?  Who was that?
