Arkansas businesses have another 70 days to pay their annual franchise taxes.
Secretary of State John Thurston announced on April 16 that late fees and interest charges on businesses’ annual franchise taxes will once again be waived until July 15, 2021.
The filing deadline is usually May 1, and companies filing after that date are charged interest and penalties for each day payment is late. Those penalties will now be waived for those who file between May 2 and July 15. The franchise tax deadline was previously extended in 2020 to deal with the ongoing pandemic.
