It’s always exciting when new blogs join the community—whether from long-time members or fresh faces. It’s even more exciting when we get to help a firm with a bunch of blogs shine some light on them. This week, McGuire Woods launches a Portal to give their nine publications one home. That’s not all, we have three other blogs joining us—two new members you’ll want to get to know, and one who’s already cemented themselves as a blogging powerhouse with 20+ blogs.
McGuire Woods launches a Portal for their nine blogs
Here at LexBlog, we’re all about making the law accessible to everyone—and that’s exactly what our community members strive to do as well. McGuire Woods has taken that next step by launching a Portal with the intent to aggregate the content from all nine of their blogs into one convenient location.
An international firm, McGuire Woods has offices in 24 different locations, ranging from the U.S. to Europe to Asia. The firm has been blogging since 2016 across their various practice groups and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.
In fact, they’re ramping up. On top of highlighting the posts coming from their FCA Insider, Healthcare Investor and Ponzi Perspectives blogs—just to name a few—the Portal is a way to spotlight other resources the firm has to offer. This includes their Edible Bites podcast, which features updates from the cannabis and life sciences industries. The Portal also has a section to promote important work being done, such as their Leaders in Color Webcast.
More familiar faces
Another well-known name in the blogging world and the LexBlog community, Jackson Lewis moves forward with the launch of their 21st blog. ERISA Litigation Advisor is managed by Stacey Cerrone who is a principal and office litigation manager of the New Orleans office. They’ve hit the ground running, as most blogs from this firm tend to do, already covering relevant issues on 401(k)s, COBRA and more.
And some new ones too
A first-timer in the LexBlog community, Katz Melinger joins us with their blog. New York City Law Blog covers a range of topics—including real estate, civil litigation and unpaid wages. If you’re looking for some insights on New York law in general, they’ve got you covered.
Rounding out the group this week is employment law barrister Alex MacMillan. A Cambridge alumn, Alex is a barrister at St Phillips Chamber and runs his own solo legal blog. He focuses on both UK employment and commercial law—and his blog topics reflect just that.
