“Cloud First” has never had more meaning, especially since the pandemic. Moving services to the cloud gives you flexibility to compute from anywhere at any time with just an internet connection. You also get flexibility of scale with cloud services. Adding and subtracting licenses tends to be less expensive and faster than traditional on-premises solutions. Not to be outdone, Microsoft will be offering a cloud version of Windows called Microsoft Windows 365 Cloud PC according to Bleeping Computer. As the post states, “Windows 365 currently allows you to deploy 12 different hardware configurations, ranging from a 1vCPU/2GB RAM/64GB storage for $24 to 8vCPU/32GB RAM/512GB storage for $162 per device per month.”

You will have to wait a little bit before you can try out the new Windows version. Microsoft suspended the free trials after running out of servers. You can sign up to participate in the trial by completing the form at Microsoft. You will be notified when the free trials resume.
