The recent County Division Administrative Order of the Circuit Court of Cook County appointed Cailee J. Alderman as Guardian ad Litem (GAL) for Chicago adoption cases. Cailee will serve a one-year term beginning in December 2021.

A dedicated family law attorney, Cailee will utilize her extensive background in adoption matters to represent the best interests of the involved children throughout their cases. Cailee’s responsibilities include investigating aspects of the case, interviewing children and additional parties and providing recommendations in relation to the children’s best possible outcome.

To become a GAL, the Circuit Court of Cook County requires individuals have substantial experience managing and executing adoption cases and undergo a thorough screening process.

Cailee represents clients in all aspects of family and matrimonial law, with a focus on adoption, divorce, child custody, child support, guardianship and special immigrant juvenile status.
