After writing a blog post it’s always a good idea to share it. Sharing your posts is a way to increase traffic and create dialogue with your readers. You can share directly to social media sites, RSS feed readers, and email contacts.

Blogging platforms such as WordPress usually have built-in social media sharing buttons on each post. Clicking one of these buttons will open a sharing page that will allow you to post directly to the site of your choice.

Some best practices for sharing law blog posts include:

  • Finding one or two social platforms that work best for you, and sharing regularly to your target audience. LinkedIn appears to be the most popular among lawyers.
  • Adding context to your post descriptions so that people are driven to read the full post.
  • Tagging other sources you’re referencing in your blog post. Make sure you’re notifying them when you share the piece on socials. If your firm or organization is sharing your posts, go ahead and share from your personal account as well.
