Eric joined the Norton Rose Fulbright's Austin office as an associate in 2014. He has experience in all stages of the prosecution of US and foreign patent applications. This includes experience with appeals before the board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. He also has experience with multiple stages of litigation in various venues, including both ITC and district court matters. This experience includes drafting invalidity claim charts, drafting responses and objections to discovery requests, management of discovery documents, drafting prior art notices, and assisting with rebuttal expert reports. Applicable technologies include social media and networking, online advertising, online messaging, location services, electronic devices, recording and storage media, software interfaces, and semiconductors. Eric has also drafted appellate briefs in pro bono matters before the Court of Appeals for Veterans' Claims. Eric was previously an associate at a large IP boutique in the Washington, DC area, where he also was an intern with the ITC's Office of General Counsel and a patent examiner at the USPTO.
