There is an interesting dabate on originalism between Larry Solum and Jack Balkin.  Solum asks why people like Marty Lederman use the original intent analysis when the great majority of originalists are original meaning people.  As usual, Larry is too kind and generous. Jack Balkin attempts to defend Lederman, but no one should ignore that the best that Balkin comes up with, is that Lederman’s analysis is less misleading than one might have thought at first.
