I just received my “Brain Injury Professional”, the official publication of the North America Brain Injury Society. This is a special issue, certainly most timely, on blast injury and traumatic brain injury. NABIS is certainly honored to have Tina M. Trudel, Ph.D. serve as this issue’s guest editor.
Thanks also go out to Hon. William Pascrell, congressman from New Jersey who has been a long-time advocate of brain injury survivors and their families who authored the introduction to the issue.
There are also excellent articles by Dr. Mariusz Ziejewski, a biomechanical expert, as well as Dr. George Zitney, a founder of the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center and former CEO of BIAA and IBIA.
Finally, there is an excellent concluding article by the staff of the DVBIC Virginia Neuro Care community program and University of Virginia Medical School which reviews the literature on community integrated rehabilitation.
