New Genes Identified in Childhood Fever-Related Seizures

Researchers at the American Academy of Neurology have recently localized two new genes that are associated with fever-related seizures in children. Fever-related seizures are the most common seizure disorder in children and affect two to five percent of children by the age of six in the United States each year.
