The Centre for Learning and Technology’s top 100 tools have recently been listed for 2007. Firefox made the top slot, with Google at joint-third place showing that search engines and research tools are the most popular. But, what other tools are available, useful, easy or worthwhile to use?

Amazingly, TeacherTube makes joint 57th place… a quick search for “law” mostly found material on scientific laws, but the following Disney extracts on Copyright would make a humorous addition to Blackboard, Moodle, etc. although it is a bit lengthy. Other clips are aimed at high or middle schools.

TiddlyWiki also amuses me – but the concept of self-contained hypertext documents that can be emailed or saved on a USB device (WikiOnAStick) would make ideal student projects that don’t require any server hosting and can be worked on from any available PC. I think I might give this idea a trial run with some of my honours students…
