The next meeting of the Women’s Interfaith Dialogue is at 2 p.m., Nov 1, at Grace Covenant Church, 100-C Adams Lane, Oak Ridge. Ginny Ramseyer Winter, MSW and Staley McCartney will present the program “A Responsible Approach to the Issue of Population.” They will be discussing birth control methods in the United States as well as abroad.
Winter has been working in sexuality education for seven years and as a sexuality trainer for the past three. She earned her bachelor’s of social work at the University of Kansas and her master’s of social work at the University of Michigan. In addition to working for Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee, Winter served in the US Peace Corps as a health educator in Turkmenistan. McCartney has a bachelor’s of social work and is a master’s of social work candidate at the University of Tennessee. She has worked with Project Grad at Lonsdale Elementary and taught sexuality at a high school in Mexico during a semester abroad. McCartney is also a Aquatics Programming Graduate Assistant at UTand was a four-year letterman with the Lady Vols Swimming and Diving Team.
