I’m very pleased, and humbled, to advise that International & Transnational Criminal Law has been shortlisted for the Walter Owen Book Prize. The prize is awarded by the Foundation for Legal Research, which describes it as being “designed to recognize excellent legal writing and to reward outstanding new contributions to Canadian legal literature that enhance the quality of legal research in this country.” You can read more about it here.
There is a rather prestigious group of books among the former winners and nominees for this award, so I’m very excited that this book has been placed among them. I should say that I’m pleased for myself and my wonderful publisher, Iriwn Law, but also for my friend and former research assistant, Gillian MacNeil, who was the leading co-author of Chapter 11 on state immunity and made an invaluable research contribution to the writing of the rest of the book.
