The World Trade Organization (WTO) welcomed its newest member today when Montenegro became the 154th member of the WTO. The WTO will welcome another new member on May 10 when Samoa joins the organization. The accession process took several years in both cases. Samoa applied in 1998; Montenegro in 2004.
