In two letter endorsements today, Judge McMahon made clear that she would not grant the plaintiffs’ request for a one-week extension to file their summary judgment motion, after having earlier granted an extension and ordered that there be “no further extensions” to the discovery or briefing schedules.  In response to the plaintiffs’ letter request, Judge McMahon wrote: “No extension meant no extension.”  Just so there could be no uncertainty, Judge McMahon also endorsed the defendant’s letter in opposition to the plaintiff’s request: “No extensions.  Period.  The end.”
