A man walked into a Madison Avenue art gallery this week and walked out with a $150,000 Dali watercolor and ink painting. The man was caught on surveillance, but has not been found.
The painting, Cartel des Don Juan Tenorio (1949), was being exhibited at Adam Lindemann’s Venus over Manhattan.
In a Fox News report, art-security consultant Robert Wittman said that he thinks the work will be recovered, as many rare works are easy to track once the theif attempts to sell.
