Check out blekko, a search engine allows users to search the web using slashtags in an effort to provide users with more relevant search results. For example, if you wanted to search for recent Stetson Law news items, just type “Stetson Law” /news /date and the top results will be current news items containing Stetson Law. The site has several slashtags to choose from and allows users to create their own slashtags and share them with friends. Another feature of this database is a “spam” link underneath each search result that allows users to mark a website as spam so that site no longer appears in search results. To learn more about this new search engine watch the tutorial or watch the TechCrunch video review.
