It’s a weird world we live in, where individuals who in some cases decide whether someone lives or dies have their job security determined by politics. I’m referring of course, to judges. And partisan elections for judges are more popular than you might think. And even in places where there aren’t true partisan elections, the contests are often still impacted by politics. But does it end up influencing the judges’ decisions. Unfortunately, it probably does.
