For Random Profiles, we randomly pick one of our 95,000-plus attorneys and do a Q&A. We’ve found that every Texas lawyer has an interesting story. Will yours be next?

Culinary talent: I make a good stromboli and flan cake. I’m known for my baking skills.

Generally likes to read: I love the classics and magical realism.

Memorable vacation: Traveling to Rome with my husband. I loved seeing the ancient city, eating the great food, and rambling around the city.

Family: I am married to Stephen Piccolo and have two boys, Dominic and Nicolas.

Areas of practice: Immigration & Nationality Law. I’ve been in this field for 20 years – private practice, corporate, and now the government.

Education: University of Oklahoma (Bachelor of Arts, 1990); St. Mary’s University School of Law (Juris Doctor, 1993).

Community Involvement: Presently, I am involved in supporting my sons’ Cub Scout Pack as a den leader.

The last movie I saw was: How to Train your Dragon (Can you tell I have boys?!)

Favorite food: All flaky pastries

If I had more time, I would: travel more frequently and get into biking.

What most people don’t know about me: I had a music scholarship for piano for college, but decided to take the academic scholarship instead because music theory is the hardest class I’ve ever taken in my life.

If you weren’t an attorney, what profession do you think you would be in? I would probably be in Human Resources – Training & Development.

When you are not practicing law, what do you like to do? Sleep! My kids are young and they drain every bit of energy out of me.

Diana works at USCIS/DHS-Office of Chief Counsel.

It’s not every day that you’re randomly picked from among 95,000 peers. To commemorate, randomly-profiled attorneys receive a prize.
