Madison New Jersey DWI LawyersPolice in Madison New Jersey recently arrested a man accused of driving drunk after trying to buy alcohol from a local liquor store.

The incident allegedly happened when the suspect left the parking lot at Gary’s Wine & Marketplace. The liquor store is located on Main Street in Madison, NJ.

Employees at the liquor store closely watched the suspect when he picked out alcohol. According to the employees, the suspect seemed to be highly intoxicated at the time. When the suspect tried to purchase alcohol, the employees declined to complete the sale.

Not long after that, a Madison police officer saw the suspect driving on Main Street. The officer stopped the suspect’s vehicle.

According to police, the suspect appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. As a result, the officers arrested the suspect and took him to police headquarters.

The suspect was charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI). Additionally, the suspect was cited for several traffic violations.

After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspect was released from police custody. The suspect still has a pending court date in Madison Municipal Court.
