Dover NJ Robbery SuspectsTwo NJ men reportedly pleaded guilty to impersonating police officers and committing armed robberies in Dover, New Jersey.

The theft incidents took place in Morris County and Bergen County, New Jersey. According to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the two suspects pretended to be police officers while committing the robberies.

The suspects, a 39-year-old Orange man and a 37-year-old Clifton man, allegedly targeted immigrant victims.

During the first robbery, the two suspects reportedly stole cash from victims in a parked car in Dover, New Jersey. The second robbery took place at an apartment in Dover, NJ.

The suspects were eventually placed under arrest after a police officer investigated a suspected burglary at a house located on Roxiticus Road in Mendham Township. The officer learned that the vacant house was being used by the suspects as a base of operations for the robberies. When law enforcement searched the residence, they allegedly found two police jackets.

The suspects were later charged with two counts of second degree robbery.

The suspects accepted plea deals with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. As a result, Morris County NJ prosecutors are expected to recommend a sentence of 10 years in NJ State Prison for one suspect and a sentence of 9 years in NJ State Prison for the other suspect.

The suspects recently made appearances in Morris County Superior Court in Morristown and entered their guilty pleas.

The suspects will need to return to Morris County Superior Court later this year so that they can be formally sentenced for their crimes.
