Dover NJ Marijuana LawyersDover New Jersey police recently arrested a man who was allegedly in possession of a stolen handgun and a large amount of marijuana.

Authorities received a tip that the 25-year-old suspect was distributing illegal drugs in the area, prompting the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office to begin an investigation. The subsequent investigation involved several law enforcement agencies and departments, including the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Special Enforcement Unit (SEU), the Narcotics Task Force, the Dover Police Department, and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit.

Dover police later executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home on Randolph Avenue in Dover, NJ.

A search of the residence allegedly turned up more than five pounds of pot, in addition to a loaded .380-caliber Hi-Point semi-automatic handgun. Dover NJ police also reportedly discovered drug paraphernalia, drug packaging materials, and in excess of $500 in cash at the suspect’s house.

When Dover police ran a check on the recovered handgun, they learned that it was reported stolen in another state.

The value of the marijuana allegedly found in the suspect’s residence was said to be more than $10,000.

The suspect, who recently began work at Harry Loory Furniture Store in Dover, was arrested and charged with numerous crimes, including possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a weapon, and hindering prosecution. Additionally, the suspect was charged with resisting arrest because he allegedly attempted to flee the scene when the police officers showed up.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was remanded to the Morris County Jail in Morristown, New Jersey. He was being held at the jail on a $150K bail amount.
