Second son Patrick is in Shanghai sounding like a terminal TB patient. He has a nasty, chronic cough brought on by Shanghai's chronic, nasty air pollution. With the Chinese New Year coming up he gets 10 days off but doesn't want to travel as this would make him part of one of the largest movements of humans this year. Evidently the Chinese are not people you want to get into a crowd and travel with. Not that many people are. I hope he will see a doctor before he attempt to see the sights of Shanghai.
