The health department says it’s continuing to investigate the salmonella outbreak with the Kentucky Department for Public Health, the local hospital and local healthcare providers.

Officials are reminding the community that good hand washing is very important in protection against illness. They say hands should be washed with soap under running water for 30 seconds.

The health department says anyone who has experienced symptoms of salmonellosis should call their healthcare provider.
