Madison NJ Sex Crime SuspectMadison NJ police are hoping to locate a man accused of trying to lure four young into an SUV on a street in the borough.

According to authorities, the suspect attempted to lure the minors, each of whom was 12 years of age, into an SUV in Madison, New Jersey. The scary incident occurred at the intersection of Ridgedale Avenue and Sayre Court at 8:45 p.m.

The suspect was reportedly behind the wheel of a green or yellow box-style SUV. As the vehicle got close to the victims, the suspect allegedly rolled down his window and instructed the children to get inside the SUV.

The victims did not get into the vehicle, prompting the suspect to stop the SUV. He then reportedly exited the vehicle and followed the victims on foot for a while before eventually abandoning his plan, returning to the SUV, and fleeing the scene.

The victims told their parents about the incident – and the parents dialed 911 and alerted local law enforcement. Madison NJ police officers later searched the area, but they could not find the suspect.

Now authorities have requested that members of the public with information about the suspect come forward and speak with Madison detectives at 973-593-3014.
