Cherry Hill NJ Robbery ChargesCherry Hill police recently captured a local man accused of robbing a woman at an ATM.

The theft incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. at the Navy Federal Credit Union on Route 38 in Cherry Hill, NJ. The victim was using an ATM at the bank when the suspect allegedly approached her from behind and attempted to grab money from her. The victim fought back, but the suspect was reportedly able to get some of the cash and then run away.

Cherry Hill NJ detectives investigated the robbery and got surveillance footage from the ATM. Police also used anonymous tips to identify and locate the suspect. Police later arrested the suspect at his Cherry Hill residence.

The suspect is a 36-year-old man from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He faces criminal charges for robbery.

If the suspect is ultimately convicted of robbery, he could potentially be sentenced to 5-10 years behind bars. That’s because N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1 classifies robbery as a second degree crime in most instances.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was transported to the Camden County Jail in Camden, New Jersey. He was being held at the jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
