Ringwood NJ Weapons Offense AttorneysA Ringwood New Jersey man is on his way to federal prison after pleading guilty to several weapons offenses, including illegal possession of numerous machine guns.

The suspect, a 36-year-old Ringwood NJ man, was arrested in July 2015. That’s when police allegedly found a cache of weapons hidden in a room at his house, which is located on Skyline Drive in Ringwood, New Jersey.

Police went to the residence to serve a temporary restraining order (TRO). While searching the residence, detectives allegedly discovered the bunker filled with machine guns, an automatic grenade launcher, and ammunition magazines. Police allegedly seized a total of 80 firearms.

The suspect was subsequently charged with multiple counts of unlawful possession of a weapon. He managed to avoid trial in the case by reaching a plea agreement with federal prosecutors.

Now the suspect is headed to a federal penitentiary after a U.S. District Court judge signed off on the plea deal and sentenced him to two years behind bars.
