Passaic Armed Robbery AttorneysTwo men from Essex County NJ could soon stand trial in federal court after they were indicted on armed robbery charges. According to prosecutors, the suspects committed a theft at a Passaic club.

The robbery happened on September 6, 2015. The two suspects reportedly entered the Passaic NJ club, walked into a club office, and threatened to murder a worker unless he gave them money from a safe. After allegedly getting the cash, the robbers exited the building and drove off.

Passaic NJ cops pursued the fleeing suspects through Passaic, Newark, and East Orange. However, the suspects reportedly managed to get away by abandoning their vehicle and fleeing on foot.

A number of law enforcement agencies worked together on the robbery investigation, including the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, the Passaic Police Department, the Newark Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Investigators eventually identified the possible robbery culprits as a 28-year-old South Orange man and a 32-year-old Irvington man.

The suspects were subsequently charged with multiple criminal offenses, including armed robbery and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Now a grand jury has indicted the suspects on the criminal charges, which means the men could be headed to trial in U.S. District Court in Newark, New Jersey.
