Saddle River Assault SuspectA Saddle River woman who was employed as a nurse now faces criminal charges for aggravated assault. The charges stem from multiple incidents in which she allegedly abused one of her patients.

The suspect is a 64-year-old woman from Saddle River, NJ. She worked as a registered nurse and was hired to care for a physically disabled man at his residence.

According to New Jersey State prosecutors, the suspect became physically abusive and slapped the victim multiple times on multiple occasions.
When the victim’s mom became aware of the alleged abuse, she notified law enforcement.

Police then launched an investigation into the assault allegations and eventually determined that enough evidence existed to arrest the suspect. The key piece of evidence was reportedly a video showing the suspect as she mistreated and abused the victim. According to law enforcement, the victim’s mom used a hidden camera to film the suspect interacting with her disabled son.

The victim is a 26-year-old man and is paralyzed. His paralysis left him helpless when the suspect allegedly attacked him.

Fortunately, the victim was not seriously injured during the reported assault incidents.

If the suspect is convicted on the assault charges, she could be sentenced to as many as 18 months in NJ State Prison.

Regardless of the outcome of the criminal case, the suspect could be barred from working as a registered nurse again. The NJ State Board of Nursing already revoked her nursing license.
