Paterson NJ Murder Defense AttorneysPaterson New Jersey police are investigating several recent shootings over a single weekend.

The first shooting occurred in the area of Straight Street and Montgomery Street in Paterson, NJ. Paterson cops and paramedics rushed to the scene, but they could not save one of the shooting victims. A second victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for shooting-related injuries.

The second violent incident happened that same night near the intersection of 23rd Street and 12th Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey. A woman was shot in the leg.

The third shooting happened the following night. According to law enforcement, two people were injured after being shot near the intersection of Governor Street and Carroll Street in Paterson, NJ. They were taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.

If Paterson detectives can eventually identify the culprit in the fatal shooting, that person would probably face first degree murder charges. If police can identify and capture any of the people responsible for the other shootings, the culprits would likely face criminal charges for aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
