Wyckoff NJ Sex Crime SuspectA registered nurse from Maywood New Jersey was recently placed under arrest and charged with sexually assaulting a mentally incapacitated victim in Wyckoff, NJ.

The suspect is a 51-year-old man who lives in Maywood, NJ and who works as a registered nurse in Bergen County. He may have been hired to take care of the victim, a mentally incapacitated individual, in Wyckoff, New Jersey.

According to Bergen County prosecutors, the suspect sexually assaulted the victim on at least one occasion. Authorities described the victim as “physically helpless.”

The suspect faces criminal charges for aggravated sexual assault, a very serious sexual offense that could result in severe criminal penalties. If the suspect is ultimately convicted of aggravated sexual assault, he could potentially be sentenced to years in NJ State Prison.

Moreover, a conviction on aggravated sexual assault charges could lead to the suspect being required to register as a convicted sex offender under Megan’s Law.

After being arrested and charged, the suspect was moved to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ. He was being held at the Hackensack jail in advance of a detention hearing.
