Pompton Lakes Terroristic Threats LawyersPolice in Pompton Lakes NJ are investigating a bombing threat made against a local company.

The threat crime incident happened during the morning hours at Walsh Imaging, which is located on Cannonball Road in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey. The store owner reportedly found a threatening letter in the business’ email inbox. The letter reportedly told the owner that he needed to pay $25,000 in cash or the sender would detonate a bomb and blow up the entire block.

Store workers dialed 911 to notify local law enforcement, prompting police to evacuate the shop and the surrounding stores. Members of the Passaic County Bomb Squad searched the building, but they did not find bombs or explosive devices.

The email was sent anonymously, but detectives with the Pompton Lakes Police Department are optimistic that they will determine the sender’s identity and make an arrest in the case. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is assisting with the investigation.

If authorities identify and apprehend the culprit, that person could be subject to criminal charges for making terroristic threats.
