A Paterson NJ woman was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence for allegedly using a hammer to attack her ex-boyfriend’s car while the couple’s children were present.
The suspect is a 31-year-old female resident of Paterson, NJ. According to Paterson law enforcement officials, the suspect became enraged at her former boyfriend and went to his home in Paterson, New Jersey.
The suspect reportedly brandished a hammer and used the weapon to attack the victim’s SUV. The suspect’s two children were reportedly seated in the back of the vehicle at the time of the violent incident.
A video of the incident, which was filmed by the victim, later went viral on the Internet. The video reportedly shows the Paterson NJ suspect smashing the windows and the windshield of the suspect’s vehicle.
Paterson police officers eventually placed the suspect under arrest. She was subsequently charged with domestic violence, criminal mischief, and endangering the welfare of a child. The child endangerment charges stem from the alleged fact that the suspect’s children were present during the domestic violence assault.
