Mahwah NJ Drug Crime LawyersPolice officers recently captured a New York man who reportedly possessed heroin while visiting a school playground located in Mahwah, New Jersey.

The suspect is a 23-year-old male resident of Airmont, NY. According to Mahwah NJ authorities, the suspect was aroused suspicions by loitering in the parking lot of Betsy Ross Elementary School in Mahwah.

Concerned adults dialed 911 to alert the Mahwah Police Department, which dispatched officers to the scene to investigate. Not long after a couple of Mahwah NJ detectives arrived at the school, the suspect reportedly pulled into the parking lot.

Police spoke to the suspect, who reportedly said that he was visiting the school playground because he planned to fly drones nearby. The Mahwah NJ cops believed that the suspect was acting nervously, so they detained him for further investigation.

When police officers subsequently searched the suspect, they allegedly found 100 bags of heroin hidden in a pocket sewn into his pants.

Mahwah police officers later searched the suspect’s motor vehicle and allegedly found hash oil, which is commonly used as a marijuana ingredient.

The suspect faces numerous drug crime charges, including heroin possession, possession with intent to distribute heroin in a school zone, simple possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
