Paterson NJ Murder Defense LawyersPaterson, New Jersey detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a Paterson man outside a local residence.

The victim, a 20-year-old Paterson NJ resident, was reportedly shot several times sometime before his body was discovered around 8:00 a.m. in the backyard of a home on the 400 block of East 18th Street in Paterson, New Jersey.

Paterson NJ paramedics later pronounced the victim dead at the site.

Detectives with the Paterson Police Department are conducting an investigation into the shooting incident and trying to figure out who might have committed the violent crime.

If Paterson police can eventually determine the identity of the person responsible for the fatal shooting, that individual could be charged with first degree murder. A conviction on the very serious criminal charges could lead to life imprisonment in NJ State Prison.
