Paterson NJ Police Capture Suspect in Shooting on City Street

Paterson Criminal Defense AttorneysPaterson law enforcement officials arrested a local man accused of shooting someone on a city street earlier this year.

The suspect is a 23-year-old resident of Paterson in Passaic County, NJ. He allegedly used a handgun to shoot a 23-year-old man was walking on Rosa Parks Boulevard in Paterson, New Jersey on July 5, 2017.

Afterwards, the victim was rushed to nearby St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center so that he could receive medical treatment for his gunshot wounds.

Detectives with the Paterson Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office conducted a joint investigation into the non-fatal shooting incident and eventually identified the suspect as individual who may have wielded the firearm.

The suspect was recently located by Paterson NJ police and arrested.

The suspect has been charged with multiple crimes, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

If the suspect is convicted on the attempted murder charges, he could be sentenced to up to 20 years behind bars in NJ State Prison.
