Lawsuit Coming – La California Mexican restaurant in Aurora, Colorado Salmonella Outbreak

The Tri-County Health Department has confirmed a Salmonella outbreak linked to the La California Mexican restaurant in Aurora, Colorado. 33 people have been diagnosed with Salmonella. Of the 33 sickened, 3 were hospitalized and 1 person died.

Lab tests show the family combo meal may be the source of the poisoning.

Onset dates of illness range from November 2 to November 26, 2017. As of today, 13 of the 33 cases are confirmed, and there are 20 more probable cases.

Salmonella symptoms include:

  • Diarrhea
  • Abdominal cramps
  • Fever of 100-102 F
  • Bloody diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Headache
  • Body aches

Symptoms typically appear 6-72 hours after eating contaminated food and last for 3-7 days without treatment.
