T-Mobile’s 36-month plans to make $1,000 smartphones more accessible?. Okay; but, if you have to finance a new Smartphone over 36 months, you might not be able to afford it. Smartphone prices have gotten ridiculous, no? Now, T-Mobile is letting customers for the new Note 9 finance them over 3 years. The company is crazy like a fox, since this guarantees they will remain customers for the 3 years. If they don’t, they will still have to pay $1,000 for the phone. Hey, I like T-Mobile. I switched, and I am staying. But, buying a phone that costs almost as much as a used car isn’t my idea of smart. Okay, I engage in a bit of hyperbole here. But, really. I paid $900 for my Note 8 and I love it. But, that purchase was so that SWMBO could use it, and I kept it because it was hers before she died. Sentimentality aside, there are plenty of great phones that cost less than $500. So, keep your money, and don’t buy a phone in 3 year installments.
