As someone who owns, or has owned, just about every bluetooth headset ever made (I make such sacrifices for my readers), I have delayed paying $159 for the Google Pixel headset for a year since their introduction. I thought I wouldn’t like the wired connection between the buds; but, having used and misplaced the wireless buds I bought from other manufacturers, I am a believer in anything that drapes around my neck and doesn’t get lost. I also was intrigued when, last week, it was announced that real time language translation now worked with any Google Assistant phone. You perform a long tap on the right earbud, speak in your native language, and the earbuds immediately translate whatever language is coming back at you. Anything your correspondent then says is immediately translated to your earbuds. It may not be Uhura easy; but, the universal translator is getting closer every day. I will let you know how the buds work when I receive them; which should be soon.
