Jason Stern of the Law Offices of Jason W. Stern and Associates–which serves all of New York state in estate and probate matters–authors The NY Estate Law Blog. Stern’s most recent posts draw on cases involving celebrities such as Ric Ocasek, the 75 year old hall of fame front man for The Cars, the founding owner of Schenley Distillers, Lewis S. Rosenstiel, and legendary blues artist B.B King. His posts paint a colorful illustration of these individuals’ lives, successfully luring readers into the fascinating and often dramatic world of probate and estate law.

Africa Legal News seeks to “build a credible, fearless and critical platform for legal news and ideas for a better Africa and a better world.” They fulfill their mission through critical reporting, legal updates, opinion pieces, and profiles about legal professionals doing noble work, such as about Rumbidzai Venge. They also have a Youtube channel with several videos documenting police brutality. The publication’s editor, Lenin Chisaira, is also the Founder and Director of Advocates4Earth, a non-profit environmental and wildlife justice organization in Southern Africa.

Bird & Bird is an international law firm that focuses on helping businesses navigate new technology in the digital world. Their blog, DigitalBusiness.Law, embodies that mission through its focus on technology issues beyond the US, covering everything from AI, big data, open source, blockchain, and more. The blog’s authors demonstrate their unique knowledge through raising questions and sharing authentic perspectives about new and emerging technology issues.

Kim Rust, who is on track to start work as a trainee solicitor for Linklaters LLP in 2020, authors the The Corporate Commute blog. Open about her experience as a first-generation university-goer for whom gaining access to legal experience “always seemed an uphill battle,” Rust provides an encouraging perspective for those who are excited about a legal career but not particularly accustomed to corporate living. Her blog shares insights on networking, the legal practice, and corporate governance with enthusiasm.

SmartMove2UK is a niche firm of UK immigration law in India. They began practicing a decade ago exclusively in the areas of UK nationality and immigration, but have evolved to include immigration laws of Australia, Canada, Portugal, and elsewhere. They have 10 blogs covering issues and updates related to UK family migration visas, Brexit, business visas, life in the UK, student visas, and more. Posts from all of their blogs can be found here.
