The 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) has just extended the wrongful death deadline to July 31, 2021 for all families who lost loved ones exposed to the 9/11 toxins, which includes first responders and people who worked, lived, or went to school in Lower Manhattan. This news should provide hope and help to many families whose 9/11 deceased compensation claims were previously denied.

Any individual or family member who had a 9/11 “wrongful death” claim denied by the VCF in the past, or whose claim had been declined by any VCF law firm, should contact Turley Hansen & Rosasco, LLP today at 1-855-WTC-INFO (1-855-982-4636) or via their website at 911cancerclaim.com.

Previously, the VCF required that families of people who died from a 9/11-related illness must register their claim within two years from the date of death. The harsh old “two years from the date of death” deadline caused the denial of many VCF wrongful death claims which did not meet the two-year deadline.

The new rule change gives the families of all 9/11 first responders or Downtown NYC workers, residents, and students who died more than two years ago (from 2002 until the present) the chance to receive an award from the VCF. The VCF is also reviewing past submitted wrongful death claims and making awards to those families whose wrongful death claims were denied due to missing the old two-year deadline.

The attorneys and staff at Turley Hansen & Rosasco, LLP welcome this VCF policy change that reopens the right to 9/11 victim compensation to the families of deceased first responders and Downtown NYC workers, residents, and students who died at any time since 2002. If you’re unsure if you or your family has the right to file a claim for a wrongful death award, please call

one of our 9/11 attorneys or paralegals to find out. We’re always available for a free consultation at 1-855-WTC-INFO (1-855-982-4636). Or visit our website: 911cancerclaim.com.
