Independent Sports and Entertainment (ISE), a Los Angeles-based talent and marketing agency, has acquired the operating assets of consulting and sales agency Intersect Partners and will bring on the leadership to senior-level roles at ISE.
In a move intending to expand the scope of ISE services, Intersect Partners leadership team Owen Shull and Scott Malaga will serve as co-heads of ISE Properties. The two will focus their efforts on strategic planning, sponsorship sales, as well as brand consulting throughout the sports and entertainment industry.
“The acquisition of Intersect Partners, and having Owen and Scott come on board to lead the division, reinforces our commitment to expanding ISE Properties. Owen and Scott share the same client-centric focus and commitment that we have across the ISE business,” said Jake Stone, ISE Chief Revenue Officer.
Founded in 2016, Intersect Partners developed a solid portfolio including being the exclusive sales partner for the College Football Playoff, leading digital sales for Cox Media Group, Learfield IMG College, and Chicago Fire FC.
“It was exciting to grow the business and take it to where it was,” Shull said. “We knew to get it to where we thought it could get that we really needed a bigger player on board. So, we wanted to work with the right people. I happened to know the leadership at ISE from previous stops and thought very highly of them. So when the conversation started, it was pretty seamless at that point… There’s so much opportunity in our business and you got to have some resources to be able to compete for it.”
Owen Shull and Scott Malaga will report directly to ISE CRO Jake Stone.
